Grades 10-12 Sustainability Workshop:

In other news, this past weekend, I-SEA held a Sustainability Workshop for Grades 10-12 with funds donated by the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and raised during the I-SEA Slow Food Dinner last November 29th. This was an opportunity for I-SEA founders to mentor 8 students and help them formulate projects that they will implement in the community and at their school.

There were also 5 guest speakers that participated in this intensive 2 day workshop;

• Meror Krayenhoff
• Meron Moroz
• Brandon Bauer
• Chris Dixon.

Each student could receive $100 for the project of their choice, but this innovative group chose to pool the money and work together on one larger project – greening GISS! I-SEA founders and co-ordinators will mentor this group for then next month, and throughout the summer to make their sustainability goals a reality.
